HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!   The Year of the Dog

The Lunar New Year dates from 2600 BC, when the Emperor Huang Ti introduced the first cycle of the zodiac. Lunar New Year, a large celebration for Vietnamese and Chinese residents, falls on Jan. 29 this year. The exact date shifts each year because the lunar calendar is based on cycles of the moon, rather than the sun, but it usually begins in late January or early February. If you were born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, or 2006 - you were born under the sign of the dog. Famous people born in the Year Of The Dog include Michael Jackson, Andy Roddick, Bill Clinton and Jennifer Lopez.
